Inflation rises in Egypt with the currency deterioration
Central Bureau of Statistics in Egypt said on Sunday that consumer prices rose on a monthly basis in March / last March by 1.4% compared with February last, as the central bank announced rise in core inflation.
Bureau of Statistics said that the price of rice rose by 10.7%, pharmaceuticals 7.7% and 7.5%, tea and fruit by 3.4%, meat and poultry 2%.
On the other hand, the central in a statement released today announced that the core inflation rate, who rule out the goods and services volatile Price-rose to 8.41% on an annual basis in March / last March, compared with 7.5% last February. On a monthly basis, the core inflation rate was 1.6% in March / March last.
